Rehab Manager’s (RM) Training

Each new Rehab Manager attends a one-week training session at the corporate office, with frequent on-going training. Continuous support is provided by the Area Rehab Directors, Regional Rehab Directors and Clinical Services Department. Included in the training is:

  • Human resources/benefits
  • Company structure, visions and values
  • Compliance and risk management
  • Functional score outcome system and clinical training
  • Medicare claims/denials management
  • Introduction to Knect (Peoplefirst intranet)
  • Customer service/program development
Additional Training Opportunities
A clinical consortium, represented by expert therapists across the country, develops educational programs and systems based on input from the field. Teleconferences are provided monthly, and training is tracked through the Education Tracking Information System. All therapists must complete six hours of specific clinical rehab training in accordance with the Corporate Compliance Agreement, and all therapists participate in HIPAA training.
Clinical
Professional development of our rehab staff is ensured through the use of our Clinical Care Strategies:
  • Skill Sets - provide tools to develop clinical competencies and task analysis of skills, identify areas for ongoing quality assurance and areas of clinical bias, provide professional development of skill sets, from basic to advanced, and assist in the interview process.
  • Care Protocols - promote organized use of skills, provide structure for the development of the therapy treatment plan, ideas for the patient care plan and structure for documentation, support patient care case management, drive care toward discharge planning, and facilitate use of appropriate billing codes.
