Peoplefirst: The Nation’s Rehab Provider and Employer of Choice!
There is an incredible medical diversity in the patients and residents treated by Peoplefirst. That’s why we feature programs specifically designed to deal with:
- Pain Management
Our interdisciplinary program includes screening tools, a psychosocial component, interventions and proper documentation. Since pain is so widespread in patients and residents – and because it is a focus of Medicare to approach pain treatment with programs beyond medication – this program is vitally important.
- Medically Complex Patients and Residents
These difficult-to-treat patients and residents receive proper treatment through custom programs. (Although Medicare does not reimburse for respiratory rehab programs, it will pay for certain elements of care where skilled needs are indicated.)
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease
Our program focuses on our patients’ abilities rather than disabilities and on helping them achieve their highest practicable level of functionality and independence. Our interdisciplinary program is also available and includes four components – rehabilitation, dietary, activities and nursing.
Our programs also include:
- ADL training
- wound care
- gait training
- bed mobility
- restraint reduction and wheelchair positioning
- splinting/contracture management
- dysphagia treatment
- aphasia/cognitive impairment treatment
- rehab dining
- restorative program
